Every organization has its own challenges, priorities, and resources. Some need help with a specific project, while others benefit from having an experienced partner who can provide advice, develop systems, or manage ongoing operations.
I've developed several ways to work together, depending on what your organization needs. Each can be tailored to the scope of the work, your available resources, and the level of support that makes the most sense.
On-Call Organizational Advice
Sometimes you just need someone to talk things through with.
Running an organization involves making difficult decisions, navigating competing priorities, and managing relationships between people who don't always see things the same way. An outside perspective can help identify what's happening, what might be getting overlooked, and where to go next.
Work Therapy offers a place to think through organizational and workplace challenges with someone who understands both the operational and human sides of running an organization. Whether you're navigating a management issue, reconsidering a process, or trying to understand why something isn't working, I can help you make sense of the situation and identify practical next steps.

Assessments, Audits & Recommendations
It's difficult to improve something without first understanding how it works.
Organizations often develop systems and practices in response to immediate needs. Over time, those practices can become inefficient, inconsistent, or disconnected from the work they're intended to support. Sometimes the people closest to those systems are the least able to see where changes would be helpful.
The Organizational Checkup provides an opportunity to look at your organization with fresh eyes. I'll work with you to understand your current practices, identify strengths and challenges, and develop recommendations that reflect your priorities and resources.
Organizational operations and workflow assessments
HR practices and employee experience reviews
Onboarding and employee lifecycle audits
Management and communication assessments
Systems and technology reviews
Organizational structure and responsibilities
Employee and leadership interviews
Identification of operational gaps and inefficiencies
Written findings and prioritized recommendations
Checkups are structured around a defined area of concern or a broader organizational assessment. Each engagement includes an initial consultation, a review of relevant practices and systems, and a discussion of findings and recommendations.
Depending on the scope, a written assessment and implementation plan may also be provided.
Projects, Systems & Implementation
Sometimes you know exactly what needs to happen. You just need someone with the experience and capacity to make it happen.
I work with organizations to develop and implement the systems, processes, and programs that support their day-to-day operations. This might mean building an onboarding program from scratch, organizing a project management system, establishing management procedures, or developing an entirely new operational framework.
My approach is collaborative and practical. The goal is to create something that works for your organization, that your team understands, and that can continue to serve you after our work together is complete.
Employee onboarding and offboarding programs
Project management systems and workflows
Operational procedures and documentation
Employee handbooks and workplace policies
Management and performance review systems
Organizational databases and information systems
Websites and communications infrastructure
Training programs and workshops
Budgeting and administrative processes
New programs and operational initiatives
Projects are developed around an agreed-upon scope, timeline, and set of deliverables. Some may take a few weeks, while others require several months.
We'll establish expectations together at the beginning and make adjustments as the work develops.
Flexible, Embedded Consulting Support
Not every organization needs a full-time operations director, but many benefit from having someone experienced who understands their work, knows their systems, and can provide consistent support.
An Ongoing Operations Partnership allows me to work alongside your team as an extension of your organization. Depending on your needs, I can help manage day-to-day operations, establish new systems, advise leadership, support employees, or oversee specific organizational priorities.
Some partnerships focus on building new infrastructure. Others involve managing existing systems, supporting periods of growth or transition, or simply providing an experienced resource when additional capacity is needed.

Ongoing implementation of organizational priorities
Partnerships are generally structured through a monthly retainer, with the level of involvement determined by your organization's needs.
Engagements may last a month, a quarter, or longer. We can establish a period of support in advance or continue month to month, adjusting the scope and level of involvement as priorities change.
Regular check-ins allow us to review progress, reconsider priorities, and make sure the arrangement continues to serve your organization.
You don't need to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out.
Sometimes a single conversation is enough to identify a solution. Other times, a more thorough assessment or ongoing partnership makes sense.
Let's talk about what's happening in your organization and find an approach that works for you.
